Alec's tongue wrestles with Lexi's and she does the unexpected and sucks on his tongue , pulling a deep groan from his lips before he pulls back , his hands holding onto her shoulders as he keeps her at arm's length .
" I .. we shouldn't ." he murmurs , getting up from the couch .
Lexi's eyes follow his body from left to right as he paces up and down in front of the couch , halting in front of her .
" We will never work ." he breathes out , staring down at her .
Lexi's eyes widen , her lips falling agape as she stares up at him with doe eyes .
Before she could say anything , Alec fishes his keys out of his pocket , " I'll come back in the morning when she's awake ." he mutters , turning on his heel and darts out of the door before she could say anything .
