The following morning after Alec and Lexi had returned home , Alec woke up with a heavy heart . Nothing felt right , he felt unhappy , like he's being smothered .
" Good morning ." Jamie turns around , draping her arm over Alec's bare chest , raising her leg to stretch onto his thighs , cuddling into his side as his arm absentmindedly opens for her .
Jamie lays her head on his chest , dragging her hand to his shoulder , down to his abs before she starts to draw circles on his bare skin with the tip of her finger .
Alec's arm is bent , his hand resting on her head , his fingers massaging her scalp as he blankly stares at the ceiling .
" Is everything alright ?" Jamie's soft caring voice fills his ears and he lazily drags his eyes down to her as his head tilts to the side .
