Chapter 23
"Avery, we've been through this." Dante repeated for like the nth time today.
I, of course, refuse to stand down. Where I got all this confidence to stand up to someone so powerful, I'll never know. All I know is that I was not backing down without a fight.
Dante sighs running his hand across his face and placing down his rucksack on the floor. "I was supposed to leave three days ago but you've kept me from that."
I narrowed my eyes at his statement.
Seeing this, Dante, puts his hands up. "Alright, alright. It was my choice to stay. I understand that."
We were currently in our room. I'm standing in front of the door while Dante is trying to get past me.
