"Everything, alright?" Richard demanded, flopping down on the chair beside her and Hazel blinked, surprised. She was sitting at one of the corner tables at the cafeteria, staring out of the window. She seemed distracted lately and he knew it was because Damien was gone for a week on a business trip. He really got to her real hard, Richard realized. And for an emotionally unavailable guy like him, that was pretty impressive.
"Yeah...sorry, I didn't see you," She murmured, wrapping her hands around her coffee mug. "Is there something you need? Marcus said I can take a break,"
"Yeah, that is exactly what I need too," Richard gave her a wry smile and Hazel smiled at him. He wondered again, what did she do to make Damien melt? What did they both do to each other in the first place?
