Hazel was weirdly silent as they drove to the airport. Damien offered to drop her at the office but she was adamant on seeing him off first. He gazed at her as she stared out of the window. Now what happened? She seemed fine earlier. It was so hard to understand how someone was feeling. Damien barely understood his and he never needed to understand a woman's feeling before. As long as he understood her body that worked.
But with Hazel everything was just opposite. It makes him anxious if he can't understand what she was feeling or thinking for the matter. Was she planning to leave him? Was she thinking about Richard? Was she thinking of giving him a chance? All these questions plagued him relentlessly and it was very uncomfortable for a person who has spent years to avoid exactly that.
