"Nadine, please, you have to believe me. Xavier destroyed your life. Both yours and Ares's," I said in a desperate tone.
"Shut up before I cut your tongue out!" she glared at me.
I don't know how that man brainwashed her but he must have a special talent for it. Nadine refused to believe anything I had to say. I wish I had the picture of Ares with their mom to show her right now.
She threw me inside a room and locked the door. It's not like I was gonna try to escape anyway. Ares wanted me to stay put and I trusted him more than life itself.
Someone unlocked the door a few minutes later and entered. It was a girl in her twenties with strawberry blonde hair and hazel eyes. She was beautiful. Something about her demeanor made me think she was different than the other girls
