The following morning Big Horn informs Evan about the incident with Wanda. He wants to know if anyone comes to him to be treated for a bullet hole. Evan is angry this is the first time such a crime has been committed in Willow Creek Falls. Big Horn and Evan wondered where their two guests were when this happened and knew they weren’t at Kitty’s boarding house since it was full.
Evan was about to say something when he saw Kleeber and Mortenson riding into town. He’s staring at both men’s bodies language hoping if one is shot, he’ll know if they were guilty of breaking into Wanda’s. He’s listening to Big Horn asking why someone would break into Wanda’s dress shop for a small amount of money. Evan tells Big Horn he doesn’t know but wonders if robbery was the reason for the break-in.
