Tadi and Huon have just informed Uncas they’re traveling with Qaletaqa and his family. Uncas wasn’t surprised about Tadi, but he was about Huon. He wishes them a good life and a safe journey. Uncas and Qaletaqa had met with Chief Ironshirt yesterday regarding him and his tribe staying there after the battle with Coyote. The Chief quickly agreed to it. He needed more good fighters, and he thought that White Horse was living with his new woman. Once White Horse told Chief Ironshirt he, his woman, and son would stay there and ask for permission to build a house close to the river. Hearing that news was the second-best news the Chief heard today. He’s also relieved that Qaletaqa didn’t kill him for his feelings for Treasure.
