Kara sat in shock, unsure what to make of the words he had just spoken. She could see her entire future laid out in front of her just moments ago, and now it had been with Monique off to the side, sabotaging them as they tried to make the best of their situation. She knew it was the type of woman Monique was but Kara knew Dean offered to wait for her, and so she wanted to make him confident in this moment to allow the same words to console him. However, the worry on his face had been enough to make her understand how afraid he had been to lose her.
