We'd been living in the cottage for a month now, and Andrea's due date was two weeks away. She was so ready to be done with the pregnancy. My poor mate had been miserable for the past week.
Not that she was unhappy, she's just ready to not have a big belly always getting in her way, and a pup constantly on her bladder. Otherwise she was happy and content. She adapted to living in the cottage right away and I could tell she loved our home.
More often than not, I would find her sitting on the rocking chair in the nursery. Usually, she was softly rubbing her belly, and saying sweet things to Bethany. I cherished those moments, when I found her like that, because every time she looked so peaceful and happy.
I could tell she was going to be such a good mum
