After I rejected Jesse, I felt like a weight had been lifted off of my chest. I walked straight back to cottage, and went to my room. Right away, I started packing my belongings back up.
If there was any possibility that my aunt was correct about the fake spell actually working, then it was time to move on, and start looking for my other mate. Hopefully this time around wouldn't leave me heartbroken all over again.
Once I was finished repacking, I went and sat on the couch with Aunt Kay. After a few minutes of silence, I calmly said, "I think I am going to head to the Bright Star Pack tomorrow afternoon. Would you mind calling Aunt Sydney to make sure it is okay for me to visit?"
