Asther remained outside the area of effect of Octavia’s training. He’s the one who made the female knight do this after all so, he has every intention of seeing it through until the end. This is the least he can do to show that he actually cares about what would happen to Octavia.

Although he knows that there is already a safety measure in play, Asther still checked this nevertheless. After all, it wouldn’t hurt to be too careful when it comes to things like this.
