The group has been defeated. There is little that they can do at that point. But even with this being the case, they still struggled to get up and continue the fight. They didn’t want to end it there. They wanted to finish the mission, all of them did.
Unfortunately, their bodies aren’t listening to them anymore. All of them are on the ground and can’t get up anymore. There is also a searing pain that spread across their body in a surge. Making it even more difficult for them to move.
Their senses have been dulled. There is a ringing in their ears and their eyes have begun to dim out the image of what is happening in front of them. But even then, they are able to see that the Alpha is now approaching them. Not only this but the strengthened great wolves are doing the same as well.
