Nikolai took off at full speed back towards the camp. The way the connection ended had brought out his madness at full force. He knew his mate was in trouble and he had to get to her as fast as possible. The Dark Forest was almost a day’s ride away and even once he got there he would still have to travel west towards the sea which could take a whole other half a day.
