Aysha sat on the bed in Anita’s office, wearing a simple hospital outfit yet again. Anita was running yet another test on her, and she had stopped counting after the first hour. Zayne had gone with his father to ensure that everything was alright since the entire town had been bathed in silver light, and people were afraid.
“Alright, can you walk me through what happened once more?” Anita asked her for the fourth time.
“It was like my body was on fire, and as the fire traveled through my body, it was creating a new vein system,” Aysha shrugged.
“For your power to travel through?”
“That’s one way to describe it,” Aysha nodded.
“It’s fascinating,” Anita nodded, “Have you noticed anything different since it happened?” Anita asked while scribbling something in her notebook.
