Aysha didn’t know how long she had been floating on the log. Her body screamed at her every time she tried to move, so she just laid still and listened to the sound of the water. She knew she had to figure out a way to get out of the river, but with quite a few bones broken, it was hard to even think about how she would do that. Ignoring her bodies protest, she slowly sat up and looked around. There was nothing but forest on both sides, and Aysha had no way of knowing if this river ran through a pack or how long it was. She couldn’t risk entering a pack land since she didn’t know if she was still in her kingdom, and if she were to, the alpha of that pack would no doubt message her father.
