I felt sunlight on my skin and woke up to the bright light flooding into the room. I found it difficult to open my eyes, and they felt puffy, almost as if I had been crying all night. Finally, able to focus on my surroundings, I saw hospital monitors hooked up to me and a drip running into my … ARM!!! DAMMIT!
When did I shift? What are they putting into my body? Are they keeping me from shifting? How did I end up here?! I pulled at the drip, pulling the needle out of my vein, ripping all the monitors off me, and heard the alarms going off.
That was definitely going to alert them to the fact that I was awake and moving. Without a second thought, I shifted and was glad that they didn’t interfere with anything. Running out of the room, I found myself in what looked to be a hospita
