Discussions for peace are over when I see him attacking my family. How is this possible? Fury boils from deep within me and I see red, charging with one thought on my mind. Today he dies!!
I jump him, biting deep into his neck, feeling the blood run as we fall to the ground. Turning to stand at the ready for his next attack, I don’t see him move, but I don’t trust him anymore. Growling, I wait. Seeing a young girl walk up to him, my ears are rushing with adrenaline and I can’t make out what she is saying.
I look up and her eyes are wide with horror, looking at the Councillor behind her, holding onto a crying Violet. My breathing hard and fast, I start calming down slowly, when I feel Melissa’s small hand touching my fur.
The silence is unbearable, and I shift back to my human
