I walked into the kitchen and found Veronica and Darling organizing everything. They turned when they sensed my presence, and their lips formed sincere smiles, which I quickly returned.
"Oh my, look at that tender belly, they're already big, we know it's two babies," Veronica said as she approached to caress my belly.
"How did your children end up being Mr. Vincent's?" Darling asked, leaning on the kitchen counter. I sighed.
"I'll tell you later, now tell me how you two are doing," I said, looking at both of them, resting my elbow on the table and my hand holding my chin.
"Fine, we missed you a lot, you never called," Darling said sadly.
