"Mom, since I've finished school, I want to help you out at work so we can pay off the house loan and save up for my studies," I tell my mom as I finish washing the breakfast dishes.
"No, sweetie, just go find out the costs to enter the university," she replies, helping to put the dishes in the cupboard.
"You know it won't be enough with grandma's medicine and the house loan payments. Please, let me help," I clasp my hands pleadingly on my chest, "you said that Mr Vincent and his wife are very good people, I'm sure they'll take me in," my mom starts thinking.
