I woke up with a throbbing ache from the inside of my head. Every movement, every thought had intensified the pain as the pulse on my temple beat with an agonising pain. A heavy fog enveloped my mind leading my body feeling lethargic drained out of energy.
I had no idea what had happened to me. As I opened my eyes, I realised I was on my bed. Feeling the comfort of the soft pillows on my cheeks was supposed to be soothing, but I was too numb to feel at ease.
Although my eyes were open, my vision was pretty much blurry. Every muscle of mine ached with a persistent pain as if I was gripped by invisible hands, holding me to the bed. It was quite impossible for me to get up in the position I was at, with my face facing down the pillow.
