SOPHIA’S POV
After breakfast, Jace got ready for work and I laid on my bed, watching a movie and eating popcorn.
He walked into the room, adjusting his cufflinks. “You’re not ready, love,” he asked.
I turned to him. “Ready for what?” I asked.
“I was hoping you’d come to the PR meeting with me today,” he said.
A groan escaped my lips. “I have to face people so soon? You know what everyone thinks of me right now.”
He smiled. “I know and that’s why you need to come. You can stay here forever and the more you do, the guiltier you look.”
I tossed a popcorn kernel at him. “You sound like one of those PR robots already,” I muttered.
He caught it easily, smirking. “That’s because I’ve been in too many of their meetings.”
