JACE’S POV “I told my wife I was coming for a meeting,” I said, dropping the file on the table. “I don’t want to lie to her.” Derek nodded. “I understand sir. I’ll have someone send her your message but we can’t delay any further or we might miss the perfect weather.” I rubbed the back of my neck and glanced toward the windows. Beyond them, the mountains glittered under the weak afternoon sun, white peaks cutting into the sky. Perfect weather, just like Derek said.
