MALIA POV. My head felt as though it was splitting open. The pain had my eyes tearing up and I reached out to clutch at my head. That wasn’t the only pain that was prominent as my ears throbbed and felt like tiny knives were stabbing me over and over again. I groaned in pain and rolled to my side. The smell of antiseptic stung my nose and the bed I was lying on was hard and uncomfortable. Where was I? I rolled onto my side as nausea turned my stomach and I tried to suck in mouthfuls of air. Keeping my eyes closed, I rode through the nausea until it subsided, but when I opened my eyes, shock jolted through my body.
