He stopped. I hated hearing that. He continued after a little while.
"I talked through her case with that doctor, and we both think as soon as we can make her live without the pills, she can start to heal. But she has to want this too. She has to accept the fact it wasn't her fault, to accept that she is the victim and she's done nothing wrong."
"Give her more time dad, she is not ready yet. If working really could help her, I wouldn't hold her back, but let me speak to her about this."
"Okay. You can let me know later."
I nodded, but I had another question.
"Dad."
He turned to me.
"How much do you know about the case?"
"I arranged for her defence lawyers. The full cost was on me. If you want to know any details, I can get them for you."
