Saige The moment that Hunter left, my heart ached. Whenever he left, it was like a piece of me was missing. It's been like that since we fell for one another, but in these last few days, it's gotten worse. I could no longer think about him walking away in any scenario, even something like going to get Sara to use as leverage against Marco. I knew he would be okay, but there was always that what-if ringing in my mind. I stepped outside on the terrace overlooking the back of the castle, where everyone would be gathered for my ceremony to introduce me as queen. The backyard expanded far beyond the front. The longer I stood over it and stared down at it, the more I grew nervous. So much could happen between now and then, but the most important was getting Marco handled before anything else.
