_Mira’s POV_ When I opened my eyes, a sharp pain shot through my head, making me wince. A flickering, dim light swayed above me, casting eerie shadows against the cracked walls. The room smelled damp, and the cold seeped into my bones. I tried to move but couldn’t. My hands and feet were tied to a metal chair, the ropes cutting into my skin. Every part of my body ached. My legs were covered in cuts and bruises, some fresh and bleeding. I clenched my teeth, fighting the pain. Where was I? The last thing I remembered was the car spinning out of control, the sound of glass shattering, and my mother’s scream. My stomach twisted at the thought. Mom. Dad. They were with me.
