After what felt like ages, I ran behind her not knowing it was too late now and I should have stopped her when she was leaving my room. I followed her scent which was leading me downstairs.

Reaching at the bottom of the stairs I looked for her frantically but she was nowhere to be found.

“ What the f*ck,” I cursed scanning the crowd to look for Emma but she wasn't there either. Maybe she took her to her room. I sprinted towards Emma's room, I knew she is human and I can't risk linking Emma in front of her. When I didn't find them their Zeus growled in my head.

“ You are a f*c*i*g i***t,” Zeus said in my head. He is clearly angry at me because I let our mate leave like that.

“ Where is she?” I asked through the link.

“ With me!!!” Justin's voice echoed in my head loud and clear.

“ Where?” I asked through gritted teeth as I clenched my fists into a ball.

“ Heading to her apartment in the human territory,” he replied.

“ I gonna f*ck*ng kill you,” my voice roared through the link and I made sure his mate could hear it too.

“ How dare you take my mate and your Luna away from me?” I asked, punching the wall beside the door.

“ She is unhappy and doesn't want to stay there,” Emma said on his behalf.

“ I don't care. Bring her here at once,” I said, my whole body started shaking as the rage got the best of me.

“ I can't, she doesn't wish to see you anymore,” he replied, a chilling sensation ran down my spine hearing his words and my body went stiff. What the hell is he even talking about? She doesn't want to see me? Her mate? There's a misunderstanding. I clearly saw her responding to my touch a few moments ago. I took a sharp intake of breath, closing my eyes shut. Her icy blue eyes flashed before my eyes, making me unclench my fists.

“ What is she doing now?” I asked, opening my eyes.

“ She is looking out of the window,” Emma said. I could sense pity and sadness for my mate in her words. I wonder if she knew about us, the supernatural beings. Then I remembered I had an unfinished talk left with Andrew.

“ Does she know about us?” I asked Emma knowing she should know it since she is her best friend.

“ No!!!” Her answer came clean and clear. This was the reason she refused the mate bond and ran away from me. She doesn't have any idea about her dad either. S*it is going to be one hell of a work.

After a long wait to hear anything from them, I decided to go back to my room when the link dropped. On my way I informed my delta I will be in my room for a moment in case.

After I stepped into my room I walked to the French window before standing in front of it, where she was standing and enjoying the weather.

I closed my eyes once again letting the memories flood in my mind. Even though she is slim and short but like a human, she fitted in my arms perfectly. F*ck, I am going to lose my mind if she doesn't come back by my side.

“ Alpha,” Emma's voice came through the link once again.

“ What happened?” I asked immediately.

“ She thinks you were cheating on Evelyn with her,” Emma said, carefully.

“ what?” My voice boomed through the link. No wonder she left like that.

“ Alpha the rogues,” before I could tell Emma to explain our relationship I was interrupted by my delta.

“ Justin, make sure my mate is safe and no one can trace her or you,” I said.

“ We are under attack and come back at once. Tell her to lock herself into her house,” I said through the link.

“ Yes,” with that the link dropped.

Keep my mate safe, moon goddess. I sent a silent prayer stripping out of my outfit.

“ Keep everyone safe,” I linked the warriors, sprinting out of my room. They sure had chosen the worst time.

Thank goddess she isn't here or else I would be worried sick since she won't be able to protect herself, I thought of marching to the living room of the pack house.

“ Where are they?” I asked.

“ heading toward the pack house and the bunkers,” Ben replied, making my blood boil. Children, I thought before letting Zeus take over the control as I shifted.

“ They have chosen the wrong enemy,” Zeus said and bolted towards the bunkers where the childrens were.

Reaching there I saw, They were already clawing the metal wall of the bunkers to get through.

A loud growl escaped from me and everyone stopped before looking back at me.

“ do not spare a single soul,” I said through the link. Their fate has been sealed when they came for the children. Without wasting another second I lounge forward on one of the wolves who has been snarling at me. Taking him by his neck before pulling out his throat and throwing it away.

More of my warriors and men attacked them as well. Taking them down one by one. When I thought it had come to an end, more rogues joined in.

I ran towards Josh seeing him struggling as three wolves tackled him down. I bite down on his leg, the one who was going for his neck. It howled painfully before I found myself under five wolves.

“ They sure have a death wish,” Zeus said, standing up and throwing them away. I didn't realise that two rogues were behind me until they came on my back and put me on my shoulders.

I hissed in pain, feeling the poison seeping in from their teeths. Their poison is strong. I could feel myself burning from the inside and I was feeling drowsy. In an Instant I felt their weight lifting off of my shoulders followed by growls. I immediately shot up from the ground and looked behind me to see Emma and Justin were standing there.

“ Everything is under control now,” Justin said, through the link looking around. He was going to say something when we all heard a loud growl. All our eyes went wide as realisation sits on us.

“ Imposible,” Justin said, looking at me.

“ An Alpha,” Emma said, and then we saw the injured wolves were trying to retreat. They are all following his orders.

“ A rogue alpha,” I corrected.

I collapsed on the ground when I tried to shift back, from the poisoning.

“ Urmmm,” I groaned, trying to open my eyes. I saw the ceiling of my room as soon as I opened my eyes.

“ Ummm,” I stirred in my bed before I sat up. How long have I been out for?

“ Alpha,” Emma's voice came from the threshold. I lifted my head to see she was standing there with the pack doctor Maria.

“ Come in.”

“ How are you feeling now?” Maria asked, stepping into my room.

“ Good,” I said.

“ Well, you should have since you were out for three days now and all the poison from your system has been out,” she said. What? Three days? How? s**t? Mia. I looked at Emma who had been looking at her phone.

“ three days?” I asked myself.

“ How is she?” I asked looking up at Emma. She looked up at me from her phone and paused, she knew what I was talking about.

“ I haven't…..

“ How are you, darling?” Evelyn said as she came right in. I didn't miss the way both females in my room rolled their eyes.

“ I am fine but the doctor said I need some rest and I will be fine,” she said, sitting beside me.

“ Good then, we should proceed with our engagement then,” she added, making my blood boil at the sound of it. If only it was with Mia my mate, I would have been over cloud nine.

“ Ask Justin and Andrew to come to my office in an hour,” I said looking at Emma. She only nodded her head before turning on her heels and leaving my room.

“ I need her fu*king badly, right now,” I said in my head.

“ Now you know you need her,” Zeus said sarcastically in my head.

“ I want a big diamond ring,” Evelyn said, bringing me back into reality.

“ I want to rest now for a bit,” I said, fixing the pillow.

“ Sure, i will come again later,” she stood up and walked out of my room. F*ck, I cursed under my breath. I have to find a way to bring her here and mark her so she can change. But first I need to talk to Andrew.
