“Zoey,” Nana asked and held Zoey’s hand in her hand. “I am so sorry for not listening to you, for making you stay here. I realize now that we should have left a long time ago but I thought that things will change.”
“It’s not your fault, Nana” Zoey says as she leans on her side and watches Nana. “It fate. I truly believe that no matter how much I run away from this fate , in the end I will need to face the same burden. I am paying for something I didn’t do. Maybe I am paying for my parent’s sins. Who the hell knows?”
“Impossible” and Nana sits close to Zoey and places Zoey’s head in her lap, caressing her hair like a mother with her child.
