RILEY I am rooted to my seat, looking into the wolf’s eyes. It was like a standoff between us. Margret nudged me, but I didn’t look at her. I am too focused on the wolf. “You need to get off the bus, my dear. He wants to explain himself.” Her words rang out, but I stuck where I was. I heard her movements and only looked up when I felt her hand go to my bag. I moved my eyes from the wolf and then to her. She smiled at me. “Let me take this,” she murmured, placing my bag on her shoulder. Her eyes went from mine and straight to the window. I looked back to see the giant wolf still there.
