I could hear my family laughing the moment I walked in. I didn’t even think of letting them know I was coming home and as soon as I walked into the kitchen, silence fell. I grinned and seconds later, chaos broke out as all of them rushed over to greet me.
“What are you doing at home, son? We weren’t expecting you back for at least another month or two?” My dad patted me on the back and I smiled.
