“Mike?!” I whipped around and looked at him, but he shrugged, looking just as stunned as I felt! “This is going to change things, isn’t it?!” I sighed, feeling as if I could just dig a hole, crawl into it and cover myself with dirt! My mind was all over the place. What was the council going to say?! f***k! The single males were not going to leave me the hell alone!
“I need new contacts!” It was all I could think to do! I needed some of those that changed the colour of your eyes. Quickly finding Jeremy’s address book, I called and made an appointment. My eyes had been getting a lot better and I no longer needed the same contact lenses I was using when Jeremy took me there. I could just say that I needed an eye test and take it from there.
