The whole way to the infirmary, I was dazed. I felt lightheaded and everything seemed to happen automatically. I noticed some wolves turn to me with a smile and others waved but I couldn’t seem to return the gesture, I was too caught up in the situation.
Once I got to the infirmary, Xander and Helena were quickly to their feet, Evan stayed back. The desperation in his eyes made it evident he wasn’t planning on leaving his mate’s side any time soon.
