ROSE I hadn’t realized hours had passed until Callie came out of the kitchen feeling defeated. She sat on the couch in the living room, next to me. I had finished writing my visions and drawing some parts and I started reading books about the gods and goddesses. “Hey, you look terrible,” I said to Callie. It was true, her hair was unusually messy, her face pale and her eyes looked too glassy. Callie groaned and set down the glass of water she had been holding before taking out an aspirin from its box. She quickly placed it on her tongue and swallowed it down with the water. “I feel awful, like a bus ran over me.
