“Where are Daisy, Calvin, and Nathan? Are they supposed to be absent today?” Sir Mav asked, his attendance book in his hand and his eyes looking around the class to check on them. “Only Tom and Jarred said they’re absent today.”
Is this another déjà vu? Theia thought, now worrying about the reoccurrence of her bestie’s disappearance. Knowing her train of thoughts, Nathan looked at her and held her cold hand.
“Daisy messaged me earlier that she was needed by her mother to act as a temporary model for her designs, sir.” Nathan said, causing for them, including Theia and their professor, to look at him.
Nodding understandingly, Sir Mav then asked for the other two. “How about the other two?” he asked, forcing Nathan to continue the lie that
