We scoured all of the areas surrounding my mountain in search of Alana, but she wasn’t anywhere to be found. I didn’t have a picture of her to show my warriors and trackers, so they had to go on the description I gave them, as well as the smell of her scent.
By the end of the fourth day, I was exhausted and feeling completely discouraged. I couldn’t stop myself from lashing out at my warriors, and that’s when I decided to call it quits and head back to my castle.
I was no good for anybody, being in the mental state I was in, so I thought it best to get some rest, then regroup and head in a different direction. I might have lost that round, but I wasn’t ready to throw in the towel just yet.
It took almost a full day for us to get home, and I barely slept
