After our mating session, Alana fell asleep within a few minutes. I wasn’t tired enough to nap, so I left her sleeping peacefully and tiptoed to the closet where I pulled on a pair of dark gray slacks and a navy blue shirt.
Once I was dressed, I quietly left the bedroom and walked down the hall. After peeking in Jax’s bedroom and confirming he was still napping, I left my chambers and went straight to my office. As soon as I got there, I mind linked Beta Jace and Gamma Seth, asking them to meet me there right away.
I only had to wait a few minutes before Jace arrived, but Seth took a little longer. While waiting for Seth, I asked my Beta, “What do you think about our new Queen?”
