I was worried about Alana’s safety. Partly because she was living on a mountain with a bunch of werebears who could easily gang up on her, but also because I knew Anita wasn’t going to give up that easily.
It was only a matter of time before she did something in retaliation, then I would be forced to unleash my beast on her. I didn’t necessarily want to hurt my former lover, but I wouldn’t just stand by and allow Anita to completely disrespect our Queen, even if it meant punishing her in the harshest of ways. Hopefully, it wouldn’t come down to that.
After Alana gave me her word about not leaving the castle alone, I felt a little better about the situation and was able to fall asleep with my gorgeous mate in my arms. Those stellar sparks flowing between us
