The drive to work was comfortable and quiet, I got to see exactly how far from the city their home was. The sporty SUV they took wasn’t one that I had seen them in before.  Louis drove as Marcus responded to emails in the backseat.   “It’s so pretty.”  I said, taking in the thickets of trees that lined the roads.   “We like it,”  Louis said, his hand sneaking across the seat to grab mine.  I bit my lower lip, trying to fight back the smile, enjoying the affection he so freely gave.  Flipping down the mirror, I looked into the back seat, Marcus was engrossed in his work and I couldn’t help but think about what had happened last night.  The way he had kissed me, clung to me as I had marked him as mine.
