Chapter 64 Joyce’s POV Everything's falling apart. If I had known that this would happen, I would have never come here at all. I can feel the weight of my husband’s gaze on me. But I'm not going to admit to any wrongdoing. He might say she has proof, but I don’t believe it. She never said a word about it, so if she did have proof, she would have confronted us by now. She wouldn’t have held it back; she would have led with it. I feel sure enough to challenge him about it. I refuse to lose face in front of so many. They're acting like this is the wedding of the year. Now I know how Elizabeth felt. Being caught off guard by reporters was humiliating. I had been on the other side of it and had the upper hand. Now, I’m the one being humiliated, and I will not stand for it. This has to stop.
