(Maya POV)
"Maya. W-what are you s-saying." he stumbled with each word as I gave out a pity laugh.
Pity for him. Pity for my wolf. Pity for myself.
"You know exactly what I mean," I said as I felt my betrayed wolf whisper my name in shock. Her aura oozed of nervousness and fear and I couldn’t help but snicker.
"You know exactly what I mean," I said again and cursed myself as I felt tears filling my eyes. My whole body tensed, my hands formed into a wrist, and closing my eyes I started wheezing and crying.
My heart pains at just thinking about what happened earlier.
"Maya...” I heard him whisper before a hand fell on my shoulder. My immediate reaction was to move back while slapping his hands away.
