Closing my eyes I held my breath for a moment, sending a silent prayer to the skies before I spoke.
“I want to make a public statement on that day.”
My heart hammered in my chest. If what I'd said earlier was bad, this request was going to be incredibly baffling for him.
True to my thoughts, he shifted back an incredulous look on his face.
“I…” he tried to speak only to stop midway, looking at me. I held my eye contact, letting him know how serious I was.
