I stepped into her apartment in relative silence. Despite the grimy outside it seemed clean from the inside, incredibly cozy even. The area was small and the furniture was outdated and I spotted a c***k in the wall, but it wasn't bad. Looking at the small space brought me back to a time years ago, on my own, working.
I closed the door, following after her in awkward silence. The tension couldn't be ignored as she stood in place.
