Eva I sat up immediately, turning alert as I whipped towards the door. “Eva. It's me.” A muffled voice emerged and I instantly relaxed. ‘Jon,’ I thought. Of course it was him, who else could it be? Rushing to the door I opened it, welcoming a large hug engulfing me. “God I missed you.” he murmured against my neck, I closed my eyes, the anxiety that shook me earlier relaxing by a fraction. As I stepped away however, my heart fell and the anxiety rose once more. He looked far from okay, his eyes dropping slightly and his smile forced.
