Chapter 8 The kid had brought his drone pals on the railings above us. He must have slaved them all to his uncalloused little fingers by their digital threads and told them to charge the Amazons. More than twenty drones, either maintenance supervisors, the lava fingers from before, or simply strong lifting drones lunged down from the fifteen meter tall floor above, inhumanely unaware of any self-preservation or vertigo or damage from the fall.
