The hottest day of summer was drawing close and a seducing silence lay over the surrounding of the Erga—the crown’s residence. Cars that were usually gleaming and roaring stood dusty in their drives, but the warriors of the castle still stood stiff. With machine guns clutched tightly in their hands, they were patrolling hither and tither keeping an alert eye over the ambience. The Lawns that were once emerald green lay parched and yellowing—for the excess use of water had been banned due to projected drought by the weather broadcasting ministry. Water was a scarce commodity in summers and even the crown had to show extra care in the consumption. On top of that, the two-hundred and fifteen residents as castle staff had to take extra precaution. Deprived of their usual car-washing and lawn-
