Kayla When I opened my eyes, Damien wasn't on the bed. I heard some movement in the kitchen. Great. I walked into the bathroom and stared at my reflection in the mirror. I had a severe case of bed hair. I brushed my teeth, oil pulled, used mouthwash and washed my face. When I was done, I brushed my hair thoroughly. My heart was beating so fast I was sure it was going to jump out of my chest. This wasn't the first time I was waking up to Damien being in the same house as I was, but for some reason I couldn't put my thoughts in check. I walked into the kitchen. "Good morning," Damien said concentrating on what he was doing. "Breakfast?" He asked, turning back. His eyes lingered on me for a moment. I nodded, "Yes, thank you." I poured myself a cup of coffee, watching him work.
