In a short while, I heard my mom’s voice passing through the corridor.
“Oh, is this Catherine’s room? C’mon Nicholas. I am excited to see my daughter.”
And then she barged into my room holding Nicholas by his arm and tugging him to my room. I smiled at her as I saw her.
“Catherine, my baby. Are you alright?”
And she looked at me and scrutinized my well-being, which I didn’t understand. She looked at me from my head, my arms, back front, and my legs.
“Yeah, mom. What do you mean? How was your trip?”
“It was good, thanks to your friend here who asked me to come because you had an accident.”
And we hugged and embraced. But I let go and looked her in the eye.
“The accident was already months ago.”
And she let go of me and looked at me, then to Nicholas, who just shrugged his shoulders
