When I woke up, Nicholas wasn’t on the bed anymore but I saw different kinds of crackers by my side table. There was milk as well.
Then my mom came.
“Oh good you’re already awake.”
My eyes popped a bit.
“Aren’t you too early mom?”
Mom smiled at me as I took a sip of the milk.
“Just today. I am accompanying you to the salon.”
“Salon? Did Nicholas ask you to?”
I suddenly thought and began to be insecure. Did he see me ugly when he saw me again? Is it why he didn’t touch me last night?
“He did ask me. So better get ready, you have a date, my sweetheart.”
I ate a cracker or two and felt my tummy lose balance and I ran to the bathroom where I saw a note from Nicholas.
