I shrugged my shoulders looked at my phone and answered it.
“Hello.”

I looked at the clock on the wall. She is right, it’s already afternoon.

“Is this Catherine? Catherine Jimenez?”
“Yes, I am Catherine.”
Then she straightened her voice a little.
“This is Cindy from the office of Miss Miller.”
“Yes.”
“I would like to confirm if you’ll be able to go to your interview and possibly work tomorrow?”

I signaled to my Mom and whispered.
“Am I gonna work for Miss Miller? Is she your friend?”
And she doubles thumbs up.
